Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@schematheducation.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

SCHEMATH follows an all-inclusive policy. There are no requirements for participating in community events such as our Friday Workshops, Winter Exposition, and etc.

Youth Development Training program in partnership with YCSC has the following requirements:

  • 16-24 years old

In today’s economy, having a high school diploma is becoming increasingly valuable. Those with only a GED have a more difficult time joining the military, going to college, or even applying for entry-level jobs. By offering students the opportunity to earn a diploma instead of taking the GED test, we are opening the door to a wider array of post-secondary options. In addition, whereas most adult schools and GED prep programs are independent study and packet-based, our school is classroom-based, so students are able to get more one-on-one attention and support from their teachers and counselors. Additionally, for students who struggled with high stakes testing at traditional schools, having to study for and take the GED test may be daunting. At YouthBuild Charter School of California, we do not rely on testing to assess students or measure progress. Instead, students learn through hands-on projects that are more relevant to their lives, all while meeting the state requirements for graduation.

If you already have existing high school credits, you will be able to transfer them to SCHEMATH. However, if you have no existing credits, students can earn their high school diploma in as fast as 2 years.

We help develop skills that will lead you to success with your career and college journey. These skills include time management, note-taking, analyzing information and situations to make informed decisions.  We also help you build resumes, discover employment/career options, write a cover letter, complete college and financial aid applications, and find the right college for your needs.

Each school day will start at 9:30 AM, but each participant will have a class schedule that fits their needs and lifestyle. Participant can choose from in-person instruction or independent study.

Nope! School supplies such as books, laptops, pens, etc., are all provided at SCHEMATH.
